Print Marketing Design
In spite of the almighty screen, print remains an important tool in marketing goods and services. A print piece stands alone; it has its own weight, texture, size and shape. You can touch and hold it. Sure you can read your ipad that way too, but because your ipad is simply a portal into an endless and crowded world of options, it cannot offer the intimacy and sensuality of a printed object.

For a number of years I made the summer season marketing brochure for The Barnstormers Theatre in Tamworth, NH. I designed it, wrote the copy and created the play illustrations. The brochure is six panels and folds down to 9 x 4 inches. It needs to fulfill two central purposes: One is to give substantive information about the upcoming season—what and when are the plays. The other purpose is to attract and encourage people to visit The Barnstormers and enjoy the thrill and pleasure of live theatre.
