This is the end, my friend,
and also the beginning...

Or 'every ending is a new beginning,' as they say in the TV show, A Discovery of Witches. I like stories that envision a world, or worlds, in which people, or 'creatures' (as the magic types are called in ADOW), are capable of allowing certain types of energy to work through them, with results that go beyond the usual time/space/matter systems we are used to.

Although I usually have picky, analytic questions about the internal logic in this kind of story, what I am drawn to are demonstrations of surrender to what is bigger than self, and the creative powers that confers. Surrender to what is bigger than self is magic. It's art. It's love. As my good friend says, it's spirit rising.

And that's what I want to do next. I want to surrender to my creative energy and will, and see what happens. I'm not saying anything is simple or easy. It's complicated and challenging. I have a bunch of ideas/desires/plans that I'm grappling with. We'll see what emerges.
